Title: The Everwish
Long before the magic we knew, the weave existed and excluded no one. Every being from snail to manticore and farmhand to lich had access to magic. With more knowledge came even more power, but this realm was not strong enough to maintain such chaos and the weave began to be pulled apart, threatening all existence. The goddess who protected it constantly maintained its every tare, until a great wizard tried to steal her power. The wizard entered her consious and upon noticing his presence the goddess sacrificed herself. This allowed breaches to occur in the weave leaving patches of wild magic and dead zones. Once she was able to be reincarnated she decided the magic in this realm should be limited, a glass ceiling if you will. This is the land we now live in. A place of order and balance. Until a few years ago…
An island began to surface in the middle of the ocean, and rumours have spread of a being who has kept a piece of this old magic stored within him. “An Everwish”. It is said that this magic could defy all rules and laws, and grant it’s weilder ANYTHING, not like that piddly “wish” spell, we all know and love. The real thing, no limits. The problem is, though this island has existed for a while now, very few have returned home from venturing to it. The island is so perilous, it has darkly, and yet humourously been nicknamed the “Last Resort”.
So, do you feel like it’s your last shot at greatness? You could be a lord. No wait, a King. No, a God. Screw it, you could do anything….
